It’s Official: Adobe Photoshop CS5

Yep you heard correctly, Photoshop CS5 has finally been announced by Adobe and it is set to amaze designers and users alike with even more advanced yet easy to use features. Photoshop has been the number one key tool for designing and creating for anyone that likes to manipulate and create graphics or photographs.

Release is expected on the 12th April , 2010.

One of the key features in the new version of Photoshop is the content aware fill which enables users to fill in areas easily and photoshop cleverly uses its immediate environment around the selected area to place the texture within, seamlessly.

It’s difficult to describe so we’ll just let this handy video do the talking:

Basically: if you’re not happy with an item in your picture, select it, delete it, and Photoshop will analyse the surrounding area and plug the gap as if it never existed.

The next upgrade is the brushes whereby they react to the user with even more variety of brush types, smudges, bends, wet or dry paint to give a ‘real’ impression of a brush stroke.
