Apple released their latest version of the iPhone OS, iOS4 for iPhone & iPod Touch in the UK at 7pm last night! Those who have experienced the iOS4 OS first hand have said that it is the most significant update for the iPhone so far, (more so than version 3.0). Apple has unveiled details of the iPhone 4, which is set to be launched in the UK on the 24th June with the mobile advertising platform iAd due for unveiling on the 1st July. iAd will allow iPhone app developers to add advertisements into their apps and share in the revenues generated from the sale of that ad space. Apple will keep 40% of revenue generated from the ads, giving the remaining 60% to the original app developer. If you haven’t heard already Apple have just announced the release of iPhone 4 and is the largest upgrade since the conception of the iPhone. With its re-designed case, which utilises a custom steel band acting as the construct and the antenna of the new smart phone, Apple have been able to cram even more features into it. But not only does it come with more hardware features such as an LED flash light and front facing camera it also has an increased battery size for longer talk times and faster processor for better handling of its HD features.

Apple Inc shot past Microsoft Corp as the world's biggest tech company based on market value on Wednesday, the latest milestone in the resurgence of the maker of the iPhone, which nearly went out of business in the 1990s. Apple's shares rose as much 2.8 percent on Nasdaq on Wednesday, as Microsoft shares floundered, briefly pushing its market value above $229 billion, ahead of its longtime rival. Both stocks ended down after a late-day sell-off, but Apple emerged ahead with a market value of about $222 billion, compared with Microsoft's $219 billion, according to Reuters data.
