Man to Send Android Phone Into Space!? Astdroid Begins…
When we first heard about a guy sending an Android smartphone into space, we thought the same as you… Ahem… WHY? Well, the idea hailed ‘The Astdroid Project’ is the brainchild of Danny Pier, a 25 year-old self-proclaimed computer geek. Pier is positive he can fit a HTC Evo smartphone to a weather balloon, using its camera, computing power, transmitter and GPS technology to follow the phone’s expedition into space.
